We were going to write a blog post for November about Bonfire Night events in TBC and the TBC, TBC & TBC areas but as we come to post this, local events are either cancelled or in a state of hiatus.  Keep an eye on our Facebook page and we’ll keep you updated as we find the latest on these.

Instead, and given the current situation, we thought we’d highlight a few days out and activities, available around the TBC over the winter period. Many can be done as small groups, some are more suited to individuals; all can be enhanced by starting, finishing or including within them a little light refreshment… obviously.

For example, in our October post, we talked about how we welcome dogs and highlighted a few dog friendly walks in the area. If that’s you, then you can still read that article, do the walk and bring your pooch for some post perambulation pampering.

However, as the nights get longer and the days cooler, we thought we’d highlight a few of our favourite winter activities and some that our regular visitors like to do when they visit the TBC too.

Things to do in TBC throughout winter

!Our location makes us a winter playground for the active. Walking aside (we’ll come to that in another post), bring your bike and from our doorstep you can enjoy miles of winter cycling down the Mawddach trail and beyond. If you like a little winter golf, then the small but perfectly formed Pitch & Putt at Fairbourne Golf Club is just a short ‘drive’ away (see what we did there?). For a really interesting day out we’d recommend a visit to the Centre for Alternative Technology. It’s just a few miles up the road, this side of Machynlleth.!

So, there you go. If you’re lucky enough to find a Halloween or Bonfire Night party near TBC, to kick off the early part of the festive season, we’ll be here if you’d like to book a table and make night of it.

If however, the current situation precludes that, then perhaps you’ll think of us and pop in when you’re enjoying the great outdoors and the best that winter has to offer in TBC.
